Sweet Potato Heart Earrings

Last summer I started some sprouts from the ends of the sweet potatoes we had for dinner that evening. I just put them in a clear jar in the window in the hope I could make some starts to grow my own sweet potatoes. They never made it that far. The tiny sprouts were such perfect little hearts I just had to to go to work sketching a pair of earrings. Now I always have some sprouts in my window to use any time I need some new patterns. There's also a matching necklace.
