Mojito Wild Mint Leaf Pendant

I think Mom used to call this plant Apple Mint, but I’m not sure. I do know it’s some sort of wild mint leaf, and the perfect garnish for your happy hour! And since you can wear it instead of drinking it, it’ll last a lot longer, and you’re good to drive.  

I made this pendant by brushing layer after layer of fine silver paste onto the leaf. It takes about 24 hours for each coat to dry enough to be able to handle the leaf. When there were about 12 layers, I placed it in the kiln at 1650 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 hours. When  the kiln cooled enough to open, the leaf had burned away, leaving only pure silver in its place with exquisite detail. Hallmarked .999 and signed Æ.
