Greenbrier Heart Necklace
Funny story about how this pendant came about: We were on our way home from vacation, pulling our big camper, with our dogs in the back, when we heard a loud BOOM! We knew immediately that it was a flat tire, but with a big truck and camper going 70mph, you can't just stop. We had to pull over on the side of an insanely busy interstate. Once we were safely stopped, I called Triple A, and we hunkered down to wait. It was kinda scary when the big semis would roar past shaking our whole rig.
The dogs acted like they had to go outside, so to be safe, I had to take them back into the woods along the side of the interstate. After they did their business, I took them back to the camper, and gathered a plastic bag and headed back into the woods. My husband looked at me like I had two heads and asked what I was doing. I told him I might as well make use of my time...I had spotted the prettiest patch of greenbriers and the leaves were perfect hearts. So I collected a bunch to press in a book until we got home, and voilá, my necklace was born!
